Our Clinical Governance terms.

At choice healthcare 24 we have a dedicated Clinical governance team. We believe that every healthcare professional will require guidance and support no matter how experienced they are. Therefore, we have a knowledgeable Clinical Governance Team, who are on-hand to assist when support is required.
Within our organisation we have adopted the highest standards in healthcare which are underpinned by our Clinical Governance team. The team handles quality assurance and offer support with clinical complaints and incidents, nurse revalidation, and the ongoing development of best practice. Our Clinical Governance team is available to offer help and advice Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5.30pm, on 0151 363 9555. We have Clinical nurses who are available on-call out during these hours.
Nurse revalidation
It is requirement from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) that every three years, nurses in the UK are required to complete revalidation to maintain their registration with the NMC. Our Clinical Governance Team can offer revalidation support for nurses when renewing their registration.

Duty of Candour Report
We uphold the Duty of Candour as stated by the NMC that healthcare professionals have a duty to be open and honest with patients, people who use services, and those close to them. This includes apologising if something goes wrong. As organisation at Choice healthcare 24 we uphold the duty of Candor by being open and honest, and we have fostered a learning culture by reporting adverse incidents that lead to harm or near misses. We work closely with, trusts, the professional regulator, and any other organisation when investigating what has gone wrong.

Further Support and Guidance
Using the NMC Code or Good Medical Practice together with our duty of candour guidance will help our professionals to understand and apply their duty of candour.
